Succeeding two earlier banks, The First National Bank of Bardwell was chartered 10678 in January, 1915,

The census records nine notes: two 1902 Date Backs and seven 1929 Type 1's. None are in the Philpott-Moody collection.This Type 1 sold at the 2017 FUN Auction for $1,410.
