First National Bank of Floydada
Floydada is the county
seat of Floyd County, 76 miles south of Amarillo on IH 27 to Plainview,
then 27 miles east on US 70.

The First National Bank of Floydada
was chartered 7045 in 1903 and printed currency throughout the
remainder of the National Bank period.
The National Bank Note Census lists
fourteen notes: two 1902 Plain Backs and twelve 1929 Type 1's.
One of the Plain Backs is in the
Philpott-Moody Collection.
The other sold at auction in January,
2001, for $1,725.
